3.6. Concordance with Augst amphora typology

The typology is based on the material from Augst in north-west Switzerland and covers the principal classes of amphora circulating in the northern provinces of the Roman Empire, including Britain. The princpal fabrics are illustrated by a particularly useful series of colour photographs.
