2500bc-14/1300bc | A blue slate lined cist 0.75m x 0.4m x 0.5m high was set in a pit so that the capstone was level with the old ground surface. The cist was partially filled with orange clay. It was very small for an adult inhumation burial, and there appears no trace of a cremation or any burial. The Bell Beaker was in the orange clay fill, had been made of local clay and is of Clarke's N2 type. |
