2500bc-14/1300bc A cairn with a retaining stone circle and a central pit 1.2m x 2.1m x 1m deep which contained a necked Beaker of Clarke's developed Southern British/Wessex group, a V-perforated shale dress fastener, a flint knife or side-scraper which may have been in the Beaker, 2-3 sherds and a fragment of oxydised bronze with remains of fibrous wood attached (possibly the remains of a dagger). The pit also contained wood charcoal but no traces of bone. [Barrow 1].
