3500bc - 2500bc | A ditched enclosure c25 x 27m on a NE/SW axis, containing a central pear-shaped pit cut into the natural gravel, with a crouched inhumation placed at the north east side, oriented E and accompanied by an antler laid across the lower body. The body was of a female 17-25. Some five small sherds of late Neolithic Peterborough type were recovered from the enclosure and the grave pit. RC: from human bone OxA-4553 2580 +/- 130 |
2500bc-14/1300bc | A ring ditch c22.5m in diameter, with inside and towards the east 4 post holes in a line NS, and a cremation cut into the ditch fill on the SE side. The cremation was without a container, the pit fill containing a large amount of charcoal as well as silt and cremated fragments of bone. The cremation was of one mature adult.
