2500bc-14/1300bc Low turf built barrow without firm dating evidence but assumed to belong to the Davidstow Moor cemetery. Excavation proceeded under some difficulty. The barrow contained a central grave pit 0.75m x 1.05m x 0.3m deep cut with sloping sides into the subsoil. The sides and bottom were lined neatly with elvan slabs, the top corbelled over and covered by a small cairn. The upper fill of the pit comprised smallish stones mostly laid flat. On the floor of the pit lay poorly preserved cremated bones of (?) one young person in a pile 15cm x 10cm, possibly once in a container. Beneath the base stones were two further layers of flat slate and elvan with 6mm of black greasy soil and a little silt between them and the subsoil. There was a flint core and flint flakes on the barrow floor.
