2500bc-14/1300bc | A chamber tomb, with chamber remains scanty and comprising 5 granite orthostats. A small cremation pit near the outer face of stone 1 at the south end was formed by a circular hole 0.45m across narrowing to 0.3m, and 0.3m deep. It contained dark filling with fragments of charcoal and cremated bone, and ante-dated the tomb. The sherds suggested small globular pots with simple rims, and incised ornament. These were possibly immediately pre-Beaker. |
