3500bc - 2500bc A long cairn covered with a thin earth layer oriented ESE, with a medial wall and offsets in its western end. There was a gallery at the east end with two pairs of chambers and an end chamber. The north chamber had corbelled roofs. Outside the entrance were two skeletons about 0.6-9m above the natural ground, one oriented E and on its right side, and the lower jaws of several wild boars. In the gallery infill were the remains of 6 (another account gives 13) individuals. Of those in the central gallery, two were 0.9m from the entrance, one buried in a squatting posture. A third was in the centre of the gallery, and near some animal bone three a little more to the east, a male, a female and another unsexed, the last interred on the back, head to E, with bones somewhat displaced. The infill of the gallery comprised stones and pottery, charcoal and animal bone. Some skull fragments appeared to show signs of having been cleft.

The south west chamber contained pottery, charcoal and parts of 1 human skeleton. The north west chamber contained 2 human skeletons. The south east chamber had 4 human skeletons, one of a female, charcoal and pottery.

The structure was built from oolitic slabs brought from c3 miles away, Scarth conjectures.
