2500bc-14/1300bc A barrow mound of clay capping over 18 alternate seams of earth and charcoal which covered a stone cairn c3.3m in diameter set slightly north east of centre and with a slightly sunk northern half. In the cairn and to the south, a rough cist contained a well preserved flat mass of damp leaves of oak and beech (a chaplet?). A little further to the south and covered by stones was a grooved bronze ogival dagger with three rivets lying on a flat stone with traces of decomposed wooden haft, point to east. There were traces of the primary cremation (bones, ashes and earth) in the stones above the cist. These grew in quantity as the cist was reached, but none appear to have been recorded as being in the cist.
