3500bc - 2500bc Long barrow made of oolitic rubble and slabs and oriented E with transverse dry stone walls in the body of the mound. It is surrounded by a carefully arranged facing of thin oolitic slabs. The burial chamber of c2.1m x 1.2m x 1.1m high near the north side of the west end contained 9 skeletons, goat, ox, pig and sheep bones and 2 sherds of pottery. These remains were all that survived from an unknown larger number discovered in previous years. Three skeletons were in the passage (which was flagged although the chamber was not flagged), one skeleton in almost perfect state of a male c30. The other two were of a child c2-3 and a female c18-24, the latter in association with goat, sheep and pig bones. Neolithic B pottery of Peterborough ware was found over the north horn.
2500bc-14/1300bc Just over the facing of the north horn, there was a Neolithic B (Peterborough ware) round-based bowl.
