2500bc-14/1300bc | A cairn of oolite boulders covering a central circular area enclosed by a roughly built boulder wall. There was an oval burial pit 1.2m x 0.75m on the north side of the walled space. The pit was filled with stones packed edgewise over an earthy deposit containing the cremated burial; there was earthy rubble over the pit filling. The cremation was of a small adult, with no associated material. [Barrow 4]. |
