3500bc - 2500bc | A round cairn enclosing a boat-shaped rock cut tomb lined with blocks of stone, covered with stone slabs, containing an enormous mass of human and animal bones and soil in great disorder at the north end. There were the remains of 28-44 individuals of all ages and sexes, some bones being burnt, and Neolithic and Beaker pottery. |
2500bc-14/1300bc | Overlap site with 3500-2500. Early Bronze Age pottery was found on a ledge in the tomb. Pottery and bones of an ox, and of one adult male were incorporated in the mound itself. |
