2500bc-14/1300bc | A barrow (one of a number within a Bronze Age ditched enclosure) with a primary cremation set on the surface of undisturbed sand, of a young person, without an urn. The mound itself produced 14 coarse sherds of Bronze Age type, 81 flint flakes, 3 cores, 4 flint knives, and 2 flint saws mixed in fine sandy soil. Some of the flints were burnt. [Gray IV]. |
