2500bc-14/1300bc | A much destroyed round cairn with kerb and extra-revetment, more crudely made than the other Hampnett barrows. There was a central burial pit, basin shaped, containing a filling of charcoaly earth and stones, in which were 2 pieces of burnt bone and an unworked flint flake. Just west of the pit was a shallow hollow filled with charcoal-stained soil. Further west was a larger oval pit in which was set a stone in charcoal stained soil. |
