2500bc-14/1300bc | A round barrow, with ditch and a berm, and the centre being a mound of clayey soil containing small slabs of stone. A round cairn of medium-sized boulders was piled on top of a clayey mound, enclosed by a ring of upright stones. The central pit was cut into the subsoil, containing cremated bones, traces of (?)bark, and a model of an Early Bronze Age ogival grooved dagger in mineralised bone or similar (Cameron-Snowshill type). |
