2500bc-14/1300bc A bell barrow covering two eccentric stake circles with a passage to the south west, surrounding an oval central pit, chalk-cut and filled with brown loam covering the cremated remains of 1-2 adults inserted in an organic container. Ashes were mixed into the grave fill. A third smaller stake circle surrounded a sterile pit to the east, and immediately to the north of this the cremation of an adult female had been placed on the chalk. Across the north east of the mound platform ran a line of deeper stake holes at the south end of which in a shallow pit was set the cremation of an adult male covered by an inverted collared urn. A sterile pit was at the north end. The ditch was flat-bottomed, and no mound survived.
