2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with an earth mound containing especially on the south and east side very dark earth, and generally fragments of Beaker pottery, Neolithic A sherds, a fragment of Windmill Hill bowl, burnt flints, a sandstone used as a hearth, and a sarsen hammer pebble. There was a central inhumation of two persons and a Beaker, set on the natural chalk with no enclosing cist. The barrow had been disturbed at the centre. |
