2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with a mound of chalk rubble covering a grave pit 1.5m deep vaulted over with sarsen blocks, some of considerable size. At the base was a crouched inhumation lying on its right side, head to west. By the feet was an A Beaker of Clarke S3 (W) type. By the right side of the body was a battle axe and a 3-4 riveted bronze dagger. |
