2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with 2 circular pits scooped out of the chalk 0.3-0.6m apart, each 0.75m in diameter, filled with grey ash but with no distinct trace of burnt bone. Above these in the barrow mound were 2 small pieces of deer's horn and a coarse black potsherd, and above these the bones and teeth of sheep and oxen. |
