2500bc-14/1300bc | A disc barrow with a primary cremation in a shallow oval pit which contained a number of struck flint flakes and three beads made from natural chalk fossils. A small inverted pot with cord decoration was found 1.5m north of the cremation, and believed contemporary. 3.6m within the ditch to the north west was a crouched inhumation in an oval pit accompanied by a small water worn pebble by the head. There were 8 stake holes in no obvious pattern in the north east quadrant near the centre, but undatable. |
