2500bc-14/1300bc A bowl barrow with a multi-phase chalk mound and a flint cairn core of oval shape oriented EW. The primary chalk mound was surrounded by a Phase I roughly circular U-profile ditch with three causeways in the south west quadrant. A second encircling ditch was dug in a Phase II extension with a shallow profile and an entrance due west. Two further roughly encircling ditches were added later.

In a central pit under a flint cairn were three intermingled inhumation burial groups. Burial 1 was of an adult male c20-30, and secondary. Burial 2 was mainly the remains of an adult male c35-45 with Wormian bones mixed with the fragments of 2 children c10 and c5, and secondary. Burial 3 was primary, and comprised a child c10 with some fragments of those in Burial 2, and fragments of another adult, and nearby the burial of a child c5, fragments from which also appeared in Burial 2. In the central cairn there were fragments of bones of all these burials bar Burial 1, and cremated bone of an adult. All were disturbed by a large pit dug at the centre.
