2500bc-14/1300bc A bowl barrow with a mound of flint and soil, and a central oval grave oriented NNE, filled with yellow clay and flints and with a platform of chalk rubble along the east side at the base, the other half having been disturbed. A crouched interment was placed on the platform on its left side, facing E. The position of the bones suggests that the body had been half decomposed then tightly bound and placed in a bag before deposition. The disturbance seems to have taken place before the mound was built, or mixing of the mound and pit fill would have occurred.
