2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow covering two concentric ditches 1.5m apart, and formed by a mound of fine loam with scattered Beaker sherds throughout. At the centre was an oval grave 2.1m x 1.5m x 2.7m deep, oriented EW, filled with loose chalk rubble overlying a crouched burial at the bottom. The skeleton was on its left side, head to W. At the feet were the humerus and radius of a nearly adult pig. |
