2500bc-14/1300bc | A bell barrow with no primary burial found, but the excavators presumed an inhumation without grave goods destroyed by acid soil. A turf mound was covered by bright yellow-orange gravel, surrounded by a grey berm with a deep wide ditch with yellow sides 4.5m wide x 1.8m deep. 4 (?)secondary urns, 3 with cremations, all upright, were inserted into the mound top, two with flat stones as covers. |
14/1300bc-8/700bc | Two of these urns were food vessels of Abercromby type 3, one a Deverel-Rimbury pot form of barrel/bucket shape, and a probable barrel urn. |
