14/1300bc-8/700bc A group of urned (10) and unurned (1) and possible (1) cremations was deposited in shallow pits cut into the chalk subsoil, most truncated by ploughing. Burnt bone was present in all but No 5, and 4 adults including (?)2 female, and an infant were individually identified. 7 urns were inverted, 2 horizontal and 2 unknown in position. All vessels were of Deverel-Rimbury type, being bucket, barrel and globular urns. Burial 12 was accompanied only by a few (?)token sherds. Burials 1-7 (and 8?) and 9-12 may represent two phases; 9-12 and possibly 8 were globular urns.
