3500bc - 2500bc | A henge of oval shape with a single entrance at the NE. The sample excavation of 1980 produced 199 sherds of Neolithic and Bronze Age date (Peterborough, Beaker, grooved ware and Early, Middle and Late Bronze Age urn sherds). In the excavated north ditch terminal there was animal bone, mostly of butchered cattle and pig. In the southern ditch section was a small sample of burnt human bone of one individual c12 or older.
