3500bc - 2500bc | A D-shaped enclosure 135m x 53m oriented NW/SE at the southern end of the Cursus (Site 872) and incorporated by it. To the north west it is defined by a short length of causewayed ditch, and to the south east by a slight and shallow curving ditch with a central entrance 2-3m wide. At the north west end an oval pit F3003 1.5m x 1m was cut by the segmented ditch. It had a black loam fill containing several small splinters of human bone from two persons (one probably a young adolescent), traces of charcoal and wood ash, and a Neolithic flint scraper.
