2.2.2 Iron

Only one iron figurine has been recovered, unidentified Male 671 from Grave 543 in the cemetery at Poundbury, Dorset. This figure is in very poor condition, but it has been suggested that it may represent a smith god (Davies 1987). In addition two iron caducei (709 and 710) were among the votive objects from the temple at Uley, Gloucestershire.
