Description: Bronze shield-shaped base of a statuette 1 15/16" wide by 3" long with rounded recesses at either end and in the middle of either side, inscribed round the rim (1/2" high). The statuette had broken off, except for the stump of a right foot which resembles a horse's hoof and suggests an equestrian statuette. An oval marks the site of a left foot.The foeman, now headless, lies on his back (RIB p69) 'To Mars Corotiacus Simplicia for herself willingly and deservedly set up this offering' 'Glaucus made it' (RIB).
