Description: Bronze figurine of a veiled priestess holding a sacrificial patera in her right hand. This figurine mingles both classical and local styles; the clothing is an orthodox Roman type but the pattern of the garments folds and the stylization of the face implies local workmanship (A-J and Miket). In the style of the London flat pieces, but definitely a different workshop. Rounded object in left hand could be incense box. Right leg bent and knee presses against the folds of the gown but the drapery doesn't really reflect this. Fairly regular grooves depicting drapery. Mitten hand. Toes peep out from bottom of gown. Very simple face, flat profile, oval groove eyes. Drapery indicated on back of body, but veil over head is smooth. Right arm larger than left. Detailed piece.
