Description: Its body is modelled with considerable realism: the neck is long and the head, turned slightly to the right, is crowned by a prominent comb; the chest is rounded and the powerful legs are set well back; the tail is broad and fan-shaped. On the neck, chest and underside, curving lines give the impression of small feathers or down, but in contrast, the wings are picked out with broad rounded feathers in front and long straight pinions behind, and the tail-feathers are like the pinions, but curved (Henig p.357).
