Description The human-like figure faces forward, his head tilted slightly to his right. He wears a cloak which has a pointed hood, covers the body and and displays several moulded folds. The facial features are stylised in appearance: each eye consists of a disproportionately large sub-oval groove; the nose takes the form of a low but pronounced ridge; the mouth is a shallow depression in the shape of an upward-pointing crescent. A small triangular area of the neck is visible and has a convex surface. The cloak has a vertical seam/opening down the centre and is trimmed on each side by a band which extends downwards from the hood. Approximately halfway down the body the seam is punctuated by a shallow conical depression, possibly representing an attachment point for a separate, now-missing, element (see interpretation below). Both arms are held by the figure's side, the forearms slightly raised, creating loose folds beneath. Protruding from the underside of the figurine are two short projections which represent portions of legs or feet. The break is heavily patinated, suggesting that the base was lost in antiquity (PAS database)
