Description Proportions all wrong. Rider a dwarf with very short torso and large head. Legs bent with toes pointing downwards. Left arm a very short thick shaft, no hand, with small round shield attached to the end of the arm. Right arm raised, hand curled to hold missing spear, a groove indicates two fingers. Wears a pleated skirt, with cloak over shoulders. The face has a large nose, incised eyes and mouth, crudely cut hair with deep grooves, wears a helmet with a pointed crest. Horse in motion with right foreleg raised. Body cut short at the rear. Hooves depicted where present. Very detailed head with ears (right quite a bit bigger than the left), eyes and mouth (no nostrils). Also depicted are the reins over head. Thick choppy main like the rider's hair. Great detail and care has been taken over the piece, it is just not well executed in terms of proportion or accuracy.
