Description | Original not seen, only replica in Bristol City Museum (BRSMG F4262). Highly detailed piece. Lionskin tied around shoulders with head over left side of chest. The skin covers the back and the tail extends down the right leg. Wavy hair, full but short beard. Flat head and profile, nose with quite wide nostrils. Top of thighs joined, dimple belly button. Toes depicted. Long legs. |
