Description | Lead figurine, although with some female characteristics - breasts and a prominent stomach. The figure wears a long coat or heavy gown reaching the ankle and appears to have sleeves that end just above the elbow. On the head is a Phrygian cap or a poor rendition of the 'heroic' style helmet. The figure stands with the weight on the right leg, the left is bent forward slightly at the knee. The left arm is down, parallel to the body, but not by the side. The right arm is damaged in the forearm area but it appears that the lower arm was held out in front of, and at a right angle to the body. The hand appears to be closed (PAS). |
