Description | Proportions not quite right - short torso. Short projection below right foot for attachment to base. Stands with right leg slightly bent, right hand on hip. Left hand at side holds club (rather unusual stance) which rests against left shoulder. Lionskin also draped over left forearm. Basic attempt at modelling musculature. Long thin grooves depicting fingers on coarse and ungainly hands (especially the left hand), and shorter grooves on toes for feet which are rather thick as if wearing boots rather than thin, bare feet. Hair parted in middle and combed to each side. Rather hunched appearance from the back especially. |
