On the map to the left, each cross represents a mesolithic site and each can be activated to provide information (location, references, dates) about that site. This information will be shown in this frame and the hyperlinked references will take you to the bibliography in the main body of text.
N.B. To avoid getting trapped in the frame, retrace your steps from the bibliography by using your browser's back button or the links below the map.

Where available, additional information will be provided on each site by clicking on the trowel icon in the top right-hand corner. This information is provided from the Canmore database of monuments in Scotland maintained by the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS). Click the trowel above for an example of the Canmore pages.
