2500bc-14/1300bc | A barrow with a central pit 0.75m in diameter at the top tapering to 0.5m x 0.8m deep containing the primary interment. This comprised two small collared urns lying on their sides at the bottom, mouths to east, and another sherd. Above these was a mass of greasy wood ash and burnt human bones including skull fragments and some of the larger bones all contorted by fire. Some further coarse red potsherds were found at the south edge of the pit. |
