8/700bc-100bc 8/700 -100 bc: Pit 25, Site A in the settlement site contained human bones 0.3m down from the top of the filling. The body had been dismembered, and heaped haphazardly in the partly filled pit. Parts of the body were missing and the sex and age was indeterminable. In the pit fill were sherds, animal bones, and fairly dark soft soil. The pottery was all of Early Iron Age type A2.
