2500bc-14/1300bc | The inhumation of an adult female c25-30 was found in a 'circular hut' 1.8m in diameter, and 0.5m deep in the gravel subsoil. It was laid on a hard packed floor of earth and gravel about 78cm thick, in which were a few small flint flakes, charcoal and one (?)bead. The skeleton was crouched on its right side, legs flexed, hand to face, oriented SW. Laid on the arms of the skeleton were the incompletely cremated remains of a female child c2-6, embedded in soft green sand. |
