2500bc-14/1300bc | A ring ditch with an outer bank and an oval central burial pit c1.1m deep and containing the primary burial of an adult accompanied by a B1 Beaker. The skeleton lay on its right side, head to NE facing NW, left upper arm flexed in front of the chest, and crouched. At a slightly higher level in the pit which was enlarged to take it, was a secondary burial accompanied by an A Beaker, more extended, on its left side, both arms flexed. The first burial had not been disturbed. There were two post holes close to the north side of the burial pit probably but not certainly associated with it. |
