8/700bc-100bc | A small settlement site of the late 2nd-3rd Century BC datable from Southern Second A to B pottery finds. Pits 4 and 5 were c0.6m deep and filled with blackish brown loam, Pit 5 containing animal bones of ox, and sheep or goat. Pit 4 contained a skeleton of an adult male c35 on its side in a crouched position. Pit 5 contained another of an adult male and a third of an adult male complete to the waist, lying on its back, arms by the sides. |
