2500bc-14/1300bc | A rectangular shallow grave filled with brown sandy loam, oriented EW containing an inhumation burial oriented head to E, lying on its side, legs flexed, and an A type long necked Beaker at its feet. A continuous line of charcoal was traced along the south side of the grave, possibly the remains of a coffin. It was possible from other evidence that the grave was enclosed by a ring ditch, but not certain. |
