2500bc-14/1300bc | An inverted biconical urn containing a cremation was found in an ironstone cist of five slabs, and nearby under a 'barely perceptible mound' was a second ironstone cist containing a Deverel-Rimbury bucket urn and cremation placed on a slab. This was surrounded by burnt earth among which were a flint scaper, a few flints, a small quantity of animal bone and a rough axe-shaped implement of flint. |
