14/1300bc-8/700bc | A barrow containing at the SW edge three urns set upright in a small cist of large slabs, and each containing human ashes mixed with the bones of three wheatears, a toad and a very young rabbit. The first urn was bucket shaped with two ribbon handles, the second globular with 4 lugs, the third of small barrel shape with two vertically perforated lugs. The two latter were carelessly decorated. On the mouth of each urn was a flat stone. |
