3500bc - 2500bc An elongated oval pit 2.7m x 1.2 x c1.6m deep, oriented NE, possibly a reused domestic storage pit, with 2 inhumations at different levels. The lower inhumation was of a male c35-45 with a decorated bowl of Whitehawk Sussex style broken over it, contracted, and facing east. The bowl was of the possibly late Windmill Hill series. The covering layer of oyster shell, charcoal, flint flakes and hardened earth resembled occupation debris. The upper inhumation was possibly of a young adult, and was scattered along the pit, only partially intact, and was covered with sherds, charcoal, chalk and soil. Some burning had occurred.
