2500bc-14/1300bc | A bowl barrow with a primary crouched interment, head to W, facing S, and a secondary cremation. There were also found a bronze knife dagger with 2/3 rivet holes, a bronze awl, and three worked flints 0.5m from the skull. Some post holes (5 in a straight line) were revealed in one of the cuttings, and over the central one the primary interment was set. The arrangement suggests a central post with 4 concentric post circles, or one side of an entrance to the central enclosure. |
