3500bc - 2500bc | A rectangular grave c0.4 x 1.3m x 0.6m deep in the chalk oriented NNE contained the skeleton of an adult male c45, legs bent back from the knee and the head bent down onto the chest, crammed into the grave. It was on its left side, head to N, without grave goods. The skull possessed characteristics making a Neolithic date probable. |
