8/700bc-100bc | An oval pit 1.1m x 0.8m x 1.2m deep, in or near a univallate hill fort containing the skeleton of an adult male under 30, with a healed head wound made probably by an axe, lying crouched on the left side oriented N, without dating evidence saving the general body position and the pit location. It was accompanied by a few flint flakes and a snail shell. An ox skull fragment was found in the grave filling. |
