100bc-AD43 Several cist graves each of 6 slabs set on edge with cover stones were in a group c0.6-9m below the present surface, oriented nearly EW. There is no mention of human remains (it is presumed the inhumations had completely decayed), but in one cist was found a bronze mirror, several beads of vitreous substance (one blue, the other of black and grey striations), 'some rings of brass strongly gilded' and other bronze articles including fibulae. There were also several implements of hard ironstone, the shape of a wedge and a hammer. The date of the group is supposed as cAD43, from the mirror and a La Tene III fibula.
