14/1300bc-8/700bc | A cairn surrounded by a double ring of stones, incorporating a large natural rock, contained a cist empty except for 2 limpet shells and a few flint chips. Outside this grave at the southern end was a little urn inverted and filled with black earth and ashes, barrel shaped with two lugs and a double chevron pattern around the rim. The centre of the cairn had domestic pottery of hut village type. |
